Renovated with a sense of style and character this 120 year old heritage listed ex convent sandstone building in the Southern Downs Queenlsand, is now a unique boutique guesthouse bed and breakfast accommodation house for a couple of exclusive house parties.
The verandahs around the building or the guests lounge (Drawing Room) on the ground floor are a perfect setting for lazy afternoons to read a book or enjoy a drink after a day of driving or sight seeing, before retiring to your shared, private or ensuite room with cozy bathrobes, fluffy towels and crisp linen sheets. All bedrooms are on the first floor and are uniquely different and tastefully decorated in an era style beffitting the building and its history, each with its own special ambiance, antique furniture, heater, fan, shared access to the kitchenette and access to the verdanday on the same floor

Traditionally called the 'Nuns Cells', have shared bathrooms, single, double or queen beds and are $170 for single or $185 for a double including a fully cooked breakfast at 8.30 each morning.

The Bavarian Room has high vaulted curved barrel ceilings, stained glass windows, private verandah, antique furniture, two seater table, settees, 4 poster antique mahogony bed, DVD player (selection of over 600 DVD's available from the office), ipod docking station/radio, tea & coffee facilities in room and a private bathroom with bath & seperate shower opposite.
$250 per night including a fully cooked breakfast at 8.30 each morning.

A lovely room opening onto the verandah. Antique king bed with DVD player, private bathroom near the room and fire place (for the safety of all guests the fire place can only be lit by Abbey team members when you retire in the evening and can’t be on if you are leaving your room).

Our old ‘Chefs 1/4s”, is now the Catherine McCauley Room. It has a king bed, two seater table, DVD player, ipod docking station/radio, tea & coffee making facilities in room and its own ensuite shower and toilet.

Room 11 is on the 2nd floor of the house, called the attic. It has an antique queen bed, wardrobe and dressing table plus a seperate private toilet and shares a shower on the first floor.

Attic - Room 11, 12 & 13
The 'Attic' is on the 2nd floor of the building and has a small double room with wardrobe, a queen with wardrobe and dressing table, and a queen & single bed, chest of draws and wardrobe, a good size lounge area with a double and two single lounges, TV, IPHONE docking station, table with 6 chairs and small kitchentte to make tea & coffee, a bathroom with shower & toilet plus a seperate toilet.
Exclusive use of this area for up to 6 people including breakfast at 8.30am is $590 . Extra person is $40

Romance – from $260 per couple
Looking for a romantic getaway, marriage proposal, anniversary or just to spoil someone special?
Book a night in any of our rooms and for an extra $40 we will include a bottle of local wine to enjoy in your room or on a verandah, a box of chocolates, fluffy Abbey bathrobes to wear during your stay and rose petals sprinkled on the bed.

Bring a group of friends and book some accommodation in one of our 11 rooms with a capacity for 22 guests, stay the weekend in this boutique guesthouse to really have an event to remember.
Private House Gatherings
Full house accommodation including breakfast for 11 rooms sleeping up to 22 guests $2,000 per night including breakfast at 8.30am. Plus, for $280 you may book 2 extra rooms and a lounge on the 2nd floor to sleep up to 26 guests. Discounts for 2nd nights accommodation.
Casual dinning can be arranged from $28.50 for main.
A more formal dinning experience for a special occasion can be arranged. 3 course private dining dinner, beverage package, accommodation and breakfast from $220 per person twin share, with discounts on the 2nd nights accommodation. Minimum numbers of 18 guests in 9 rooms and needs to be booked as a group where we co ordinate with one person. Please note, Abbey of the Roses is fully licensed and not a BYO function centre.
