Accommodation
Renovated with a sense of style and character of this heritage building – from the restoration of the rooms to the metal pressed ceilings and large wooden skirtings to the blazing log fireplaces in the building to keep the chill out of the air in the winter months and during the summer months, the fresh breeze comes through the beautiful sash windows that are thrown open providing lovely views of the great dividing range – it is truly a great place to stay. Being a heritage listed national trust building restrictions when renovating meant not all bedrooms where able to have ensuites.
All bedrooms are on the second floor and are tastefully decorated in an era style befitting the building and its history each with its own special ambiance, antique furniture, heater, fan, shared access to the kitchenette to make a tea or coffee and access to the verandah on the same floor.
The terraces or the drawing room on the first floor are a perfect setting for lazy afternoon watching a DVD from a choice of 600 or read a book and enjoy a drink, before retiring to your shared, private or ensuite room with cozy bathrobes, fluffy towels and crisp linen sheets. One of our rooms has high vaulted curved barrel ceiling, stained glass panels, private verandah, plus 4-poster bed with curtains and canopy. Another has a fire place and opens onto a verandah.
After a restful nights sleep, wake in the morning totally refreshed and start your day with a hearty home cooked breakfast.

Stay any three consecutive nights between Sunday to Thursday and the third night is free! Really take your time exploring the Southern Downs and go home totally revived!
Please don’t take offence parents, but for the experience and tranquility of all our guests and lack of facilities for young children, Abbey of the Roses is not suitable for children under 15.
