The Abbey of The Roses is renowned as the “Most Spectacular Venue on the Southern Downs”. It has
been uniquely restored and is now perhaps the premier Wedding and Function Centre in the region.
Every Bride & Groom and every wedding is as uniquely different, as the Abbey of the Roses is uniquely different. Because of this we don’t just have a set amount of packages as each Bride & Groom will have their own ideas of what they would want and we cater for you as a unique couple.
We will design your wedding however you want it with you doing as little or as much as you want.
Elopement Packages
Looking for something really personal and decided to elope?
We can organise just about anything including the witnesses for elopement packages!
A basic elopement package includes use of the Chapel, 2 witnesses, sparkling to toast your nuptials, romantic private dinner for 2 in our Vestry Dining Room on the night before retiring to one of the Abbey rooms and a hearty first breakfast together as husband & wife from $950 mid week.
We can add massages, accommodation the night before, flowers or put you in contact with Celebrants, musicians, photographers even videographer to capture your special day and show your family and friends at a later date.
Have you thought about a winter wedding in the country?
Imagine - a horse & cart bringing you from your ceremony to the entrance of the Abbey. You walk up the red carpet to the grand old cedar doors. Your guests gather around to congratulate the newly married couple whilst a string quartet plays in the front foyer and canapés are served prior to moving into the Long Room for a decadent dinner with sparkling wine, the desserts with hot chocolate and marshmallows!
You could theme your wedding with lace, tulle, fairy lights, baby’s breath flowers in your hair and on the tables, pearls or crystal….
Your reception room could have crystal centre pieces or candelabras, candles in the centre of the tables or red flowers to contrast against a white themed reception room to give warmth. Plus snow during the evening just to enhance the theme!
